Hi! I am Kachine Moore.

I am a current Ph.D. candidate researching occult cinemas in the Film and TV department at the University of Glasgow. I hold an MA in Cinema Studies from New York University and a BFA from Cornell University.

I am the creator of Cinematic Grimoire, a digital archive of contributions by magicians and occultists to cinema, and the co-founder and programmer of Match Cuts Presents, a screening series in New York City (2016-2020).

My research interests include Western esotericism and magickal history and practice; occult and witchcraft depictions on screen; and high strangeness and paranormal investigation on television.

I am currently a paranormal investigator and the secretary of ‘The Scottish Society of Psychical Research’ (SSPR) headquartered in Glasgow.

I am a practicing ceremonial magician and occultist, and in my spare time, I enjoy painting and writing occult poetry.
